THE WOLD & OAK ROOM

The Wold and Oak Room comprise the following: The Gatehouse (sleeps 6), Morland Manor (sleeps 10), Gold Cup (sleeps 8), Goodwood (sleeps 6), St Leger (sleeps 10), Greenwood (sleeps 8), Renaissance Rooms (sleeps 8), Whistler Apartment (sleeps 2), Rubens Apartment (sleeps 2) and Raphael Rooms (sleeps 6).

THE OAK ROOM EVENT SPACE

The Oak Room is a remarkable panelled mini-ballroom space within Ashton Wold House, the home of the Late Miriam Rothschild.  Whether it be a birthday celebration, an afternoon tea party, a formal sit down dinner or a casual buffet lunch – the Oak Room makes any event special. There are two kitchens – a smaller kitchen on the ground floor and a large kitchen on the lower level.

Please note: Guests are required to hire tables and chairs and whatever else they may need which includes crockery / cutlery / cooking utensils etc (Caterers are usually able to supply all this). Under “things to do” on our website we have listed a couple of chefs / caterers that have worked on the Estate previously.

The cricket field is located across from the properties and is the perfect place to all get together . A number of outdoor games are supplied eg. rounders, crocket, badminton, table tennis etc

Prior to Arrival

Personal Check-In

One of our team members will personally check you into the property, no matter what time it is. They will give you a quick run through on how to use the equipment in the property including heating etc and answer any questions you may have. We live on the Estate and are contactable 24hrs a day in the case of emergencies.

Please Note: Stocks of these items are not replenished during your stay – these are only a few basics to get you started eg. one loo roll per bathroom etc.

Guests of the “Wold and Oak Rooms” may only access the area around Ashton Wold House marked pink on the plan below.

Guests are welcome to use the garden furniture and loungers supplied. A beautiful peaceful spot to relax.

Many parts of the main gardens are in disrepair – guests must not go into these areas and must remain within the pink area. Guests also have the use of your very own hand built traditional Shepherds Hut located in the courtyard.
