THE RENAISSANCE ROOMS

A substantial wing of the main house, former home to Dame Miriam Rothschild situated in a beautiful woodland setting. 

The Estate has taken great care in restoring many original features including the original wood panelling in the former family “ballroom” which now makes up the sitting / dining room.

*** EVENT SPACE *** Renaissance Rooms can be booked on it’s own as a 3 bedroom holiday house or it can be booked together with the Oak Room – a spectacular panelled ballroom and a lower level kitchen for caterers etc. The ballroom will be empty except for a couple of leather sofas and  artworks. The room seats up to 60 people comfortably.

This event space is only available along with accommodation – if there are 40 people sleeping in accommodation on the Estate then you can use this space as your “function” room.

Prior to Arrival

Please let us know your estimated time of arrival. The property may be ready earlier than the normal 4pm checkin time. Please enquire a couple of days before. When you are circa 20 minutes from the property please call us on 01832 272264  / 07836207584

Personal Check-In

One of our team members will personally check you into the property, no matter what time it is. They will give you a quick run through on how to use the equipment in the property including heating etc and answer any questions you may have. We live on the Estate and are contactable 24hrs a day in the case of emergencies.

The Renaissance Rooms open out onto the former Main House (Ashton Wold House) gardens. The area marked pink on the map below shows the outdoor and garden area for the Renaissance Rooms.

Guests are welcome to use the garden furniture and loungers supplied. A beautiful peaceful spot to relax.

Many parts of the main gardens are in disrepair – guests must not go into these areas and must remain within the pink area. Guests also have the use of your very own hand built traditional Shepherds Hut located in the courtyard.
